The Final Frontier
Show Content

Overview
This show is a trip of man’s exploration of the final frontier, the universe around us. It begins at the center of our solar system with the Sun. We see how the Sun was used long ago to mark time. Next as man jumped into space we follow the progresses of both manned and unmanned spaceflight. Then we take a quick journey through our solar system using the eyes of the spacecraft we had sent out to visit each planet. Last objects outside our solar system are located using the constellations as reference points. Many amazing objects: black holes, quasars, pulsars, nebula, galaxies and clusters, are located, briefly explained and shown through the eyes of different telescopes.

Objectives
• Students will be able to list and describe objects found within and beyond the solar system.
• Students will be able to describe how constellations are used to find objects in the sky.
• Students will be able to describe manned and unmanned spaceflight.
• Students will be able to list technology such as telescopes, satellites and rovers that are used to collect information about the planets and universe.
